ABOUT
Honey Bee Hygiene is a registered, independent, dental hygiene practice located in Willow Park near Southcenter Mall. We currently follow the 2024 fee guide, and provide direct billing to all private insurance plans and government programs, including the new CDCP. https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/dental/dental-care-plan/apply.html
HCSA are also accepted.
We offer comprehensive exams, digital xrays and a full range of dental hygiene services including scaling, root planing, polishing, desensitizing, irrigation and oral hygiene instruction. We offer fluoride free polishing pastes and gels, hydrogen peroxide essential oil mouthwashes, and a line of nanohydroxapatite toothpastes.
We prefer a no sensitivity, enamel protecting take-home whitening product and have various toothpastes to suit your individual enamel needs or preferences. Our wonderful "CreamTastic" lip balms are made locally, with imported butters from the Caribbean which your lips will enjoy for the duration of your appointment with us. There are no TV's on the ceiling, just bees to look at while we sparkle up your teeth. Perio Plus, an oxygen rich, aloe gel may be applied after your treatment to cool and soothe inflammed tissues.
Our patients range from infants to seniors and we welcome everyone without reservation. We are in service for you.
Conduction
Your body is made up from what you consume, and your mouth is the opening to your entire system. What passes over your lips ends up in your bloodstream. Your gums act as conductors, transporting among other things, microbes directly into your bloodstream. The act of dental hygiene, both in the dental chair and at home, assists in controlling the amount, and kind of microbes that have access to your bloodstream. Dental hygiene has been tied to the intergrity of the immune system. We take this connection very seriously.

Aware of it or not, we are role models to the people around us. We support big people and their little people and everyone inbetween. We offer education and guidance on the importance of dental hygiene, nutrition, and healthy living. Your head is attached to the rest of your body and that connection is often an overlooked factor in whole body wellness.
Grace
We want everyone in the family, no matter their age, to benefit from a clean and healthy mouth. We meet you where you are at, and encourage improvement when needed. When you have a clean and healthy mouth, free of excessive plaque, tartar and cavities, you feel better. If needed you will be referred to a general dentist, orthodontist, oral surgeon, or specialist. We are always available to answer questions or consult on treatment plans beyond your time in the chair with us.
Nerves
If you are nervous about dental treatment, please let us know. We acknowlege that dental visits evoke some stress for most people. We want you to feel at ease and cared for, and we strive to reduce your anxiety levels while in the chair. We offer the added comfort of soft blankets, gentle music, aromatherapy and topical anesthetic. A ProRelief gel that incorporates zinc, aloe chamomille and oxygen is applied to your gums at the end of your treatment to help support the health of your tissues. Life is stressful enough, your dental hygiene visit should not be.
